Since ancient times, Kyushu and Okinawa have been blessed with the “winds of civilization,” creating the unique cultures by the influences of people, items and notions from foreign lands. The numerous archeological ruins tell stories of the area’s history while the traditions and the way of life are deeply rooted in its history and the social climate. Still today, the area boasts many cultural heritages passed down through the eternal history.

At the same time, Kyushu and Okinawa offer majestic natures that are sure to liberate the heart of anyone visiting; the rich sea curried in Black Current, the different expressions of Kyushu mountains in respective four seasons, deep green wildwoods and pure streams. These awesome woks of nature nurtured over years soothe the souls of people there.

Nature, history, traditions and cultures –all these aspects of Kyushu and Okinawa are to be passed down to generations to come. Seven broadcasters in Kyushu and Okinawa have come together to present this documentary, highlighting the heritage sites of the area. The beauty and wonders of Kyushu and Okinawa are amplified through stunning high-definition images.
